Once fully operational by mid-2018, Sidra Medicine will handle 275,000 outpatient appointments, 11,000 procedures, 100,000 emergency attendances and deliver over 9,000 babies per year, adding capacity to a rapidly growing population and delivering world-class specialist care.

The hospital will include 10 operating theatres, 400 beds, 100 percent single rooms with a private bathroom, a birthing center and an emergency department.

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Pharmacy provides world class pharmaceutical care to a diverse patient base of women and children of both local and international origin. Our expert staff is dedicated to the provision of world class specialized pediatric and maternal health pharmaceutical care in an empathetic and caring clinical environment.  We provide the highest level of care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings in a 399 bed facility utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Inpatient Services provides pharmaceutical services to the hospital’s inpatients through optimizing the use of pharmaceuticals, and collaborating with healthcare professionals throughout the organization to provide the highest quality of patient care. The incumbent proactively intervenes to optimize each patient's therapy and documents the outcome of the intervention, provides accurate drug information, ensures that pharmaceutical products and services are provided in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner and ensures compliance with current medication management standards. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist is centralized in the Inpatient Pharmacy or in one of the Satellite Pharmacies throughout the hospital.

 

Essential Requirements:
       
  • BSc - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy/BPharm or M.Sc., Master of Science in Pharmacy/MPharm.

  • Extensive experience as a licensed/registered clinical Pharmacist 

  • Licensed in Pharmacy in country of origin
  • Obtain State of Qatar Pharmacy License after on boarding 

  • Excellent clinical knowledge as it pertains to medication and disease management

  • Demonstrated ability to work with Pharmacy Information Systems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
