Materials Management ensures the availability and delivery of goods, services and equipment to support patient care and hospital operations that are of appropriate quality, and are available when and where needed at a cost that represents value for money.

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager - Inventory Control is required to plan, organize, direct, manage and report on all of Supply chain managed inventories.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the provision of Inventory Control management to ensure delivery of high quality, customer focused services.

  • Produces regular reports and statistics against Key Performance Indicators as required.

  • Develops and implements policies, procedures and standards for Inventory.

  • Handles complaints and incidents related to Inventory Management.

  • Communicates effectively with other departments, staff and customers.

  • Ensures operations are delivered in accordance with financial guidelines.

  • Ensures optimized inventory levels to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensures the security, accuracy and integrity of the inventory assets and records.

  • Develops strategies to ensure sufficient supply of clinical and non-clinical consumables.

  • Oversees stock control to ensure stock availability.

  • Plans and coordinates stock cycle counting and annual stock-takes.

  • Manages people and process performance to ensure policy and procedures are followed.

  • Develops a work environment that encourages and promotes feedback and reporting from staff to ensure continuous improvement to business goals.

  • Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.

  • Promotes constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective Inventory Management.

  • Financial recording mechanism's for all managed inventories.

  • Provides Stock on hand and on order assurance (Reporting) to the SCM Leadership and Customers.

  • Provides an improvement plan for areas or tasks where improvement is require.

  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • 5+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in Inventory field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English


  • Master’s Degree, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
