Once fully operational by mid-2018, Sidra Medicine will handle 275,000 outpatient appointments, 11,000 procedures, 100,000 emergency attendances and deliver over 9,000 babies per year, adding capacity to a rapidly growing population and delivering world-class specialist care.

The hospital will include 10 operating theatres, 400 beds, 100 percent single rooms with a private bathroom, a birthing center and an emergency department.

This Finance department provides services to departments across the organization and also works with external partners at both operational and government level.

DEPARTMENT PROFILE:

Finance is comprised of many related and corresponding functions including:

  • Financial Operations (General Accounting, AP and Payroll) - Financial Operations oversees financial transaction processing - accounts payable, general ledger/accounting, revenue net down, fixed asset and inventory accounting, payroll, and accounts receivables for non-patient revenue (does not include patient billing/receivables.)  Provides leadership and coordinates activities for payroll and accounting functions within the organization. 

  • Reporting, Planning and Budgeting - Financial Reporting and Budgeting provides senior financial leadership in directing, planning and leading activities related to financial reporting and budgets. Manages day-to-day activities within the department. Responsible for the preparation of Sidra’s annual operating budget, monitoring financial performance against plan and forecasting predicted year end position. 

  • Corporate and Treasury Finance - Treasury and Corporate Finance is responsible for directing and managing cash management for the organization, ensuring compliance with financial controls, financial analytical leadership and support for all key Treasury and Corporate Finance decisions.

  • Patient revenue, billing and insurance - Revenue Cycle directs and coordinates the overall functions of the patient revenue cycle to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician and other customer relations.
