DEPARTMENT/BRANCH PROFILE:

Within the IT division, Infrastructure Architecture (IA) develops and sets up a method-based approach to managing Sidra IT Infrastructure, it provides the organizing logic for information, servers, networks, storage, and application to reflect the current and future state of the organization’s operating model.

 

The primary goal of IA is to optimize the effectiveness of Sidra IT Infrastructure operating model by rationalizing processes, information and technology through standardization and integration.
JOB SUMMARY:

Architect - EA Infrastructure creates, develops, and handles the maintenance and governance of the Infrastructure technical strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, and the establishment and maintenance of Infrastructure standards and policies in the following disciplines:

  • Infrastructure Architecture
  • End-user Computing
  • Servers
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Collaboration
KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Responsible for the enterprise infrastructure strategy which encompasses servers, storage, network, messaging, directory services, capacity management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Helps define departmental and enterprise infrastructure services and capabilities requirements and assist in the facilitation of the governance process. This includes collaborating on the development of technical standards.
  • Works closely with the business and undertakes a client aligned approach to understand business architecture requirements, business future plans and any architecture changes to enterprise wide technology solutions.
  • Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous IT technical architecture issues and establishes the approach and direction for significant projects.
  • Ensures the enforcement of infrastructure and security standards and definitions pursuant to the technical architecture policies, standards, definitions and models.
  • Manages and maintains the Technical Architecture Model.
  • Proactively monitors, evaluates and suggests improvements to the infrastructure evaluation and acquisition process and governance process that affect infrastructure service quality.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of new tools, infrastructure components and methodologies. Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of IT solutions
  • Identifies and prioritizes infrastructure improvement opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Evaluates, recommends and selects infrastructure components, tools and utilities. Identify and implements best practices and standards.
  • Manages work allocation as required, and problem resolution including driving and motivating personnel towards achievement of specific objectives and departmental goals.
  • Develops and manages information, including producing audit and impact assessment reports as required.
  • Introduces new technology initiatives, taking into account trends in technology, to fulfill organization wide business needs.
  • Conducts impact analysis on changes contained within system enhancement requests.  Evaluates proposed solutions and ensures it is within the IT standard enterprise architecture.
  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

 

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA:

 

 

ESSENTIAL

PREFERRED

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering.

 

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT field with advance knowledge on infrastructure technologies e.g. servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Managerial experience, particularly with large complex projects
  • Experience in developing operational processes and procedures for IT infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in developing high level and low level designs.
  • Strong experience in server and storage virtualization.
  • Experienced with (or equivalent) the following frameworks: Zachman, ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, NIST SDLC, ISO/IEC 2700x.

 

Experience in healthcare-related fields, demonstrated expertise in healthcare operations, health information knowledge, change management and project management.

 

Certification and Licensure

 

  • TOGAF (or any architecture certification).

 

  • CISSP
  • Any advance VMware or Citrix certification.
  • ITILv3, MCSE, CCNP, or other equivalent IT certifications.

 

Professional Membership

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent understanding of Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Privacy.
