DEPARTMENT/BRANCH PROFILE:

The Human Resources Division is made up of a number of complementary departments and strives to be recognized for its operational excellence and as a strategic business partner in the achievement of Sidra’s vision and mission and within its stated values.

 

As part of the Government Relations and Relocation Department, the Housing team works towards acquiring and maintaining Sidra staff housing in a cost effective manner. The Housing team also works with other departments and Qatar Foundation’s Housing Department to ensure legal documentations, lease agreements, invoices, all services, quality and other documentation are in order before the house is being allocated to Sidra Staff.  

JOB SUMMARY:

The Officer – Housing Inventory works in close proximity of the Team Leader – Housing Services in arranging accommodation for Sidra staff.  He/she is responsible for the daily inventory of operations for the Housing Services Department.  The incumbents responsibilities include but is not limited to preparing housing units, stocking, maintaining a record of what is needed, and checking the individual inventory of Sidra provided accommodation prior to an employee moving in and again when the employee moves out. He/she should have excellent record keeping, stocking, and distribution skills.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Assists the Team Leader – Housing Service in the development of Sidra Housing standards on furniture’s and appliances.

  • Collaborates with the Team Leader – Housing Services to ensure that there is an efficient flow of services and materials in the Sidra provided accommodation.

  • Conducts pre-arrival inventory checks of all Sidra provided accommodations and ensures that all furniture fixtures, appliances, and soft pack items are in suitable condition.

  • Assists Team Leader – Housing Services in preparing budget for Housing Services.

  • Conducts Preliminary Exit and Final Clearance Inventory of all units that are vacated by Sidra employees and reports any broken or damaged items accordingly through up-to-date Sidra Housing Services Clearance Form.

  • Inspects the housing units and determines changes/improvements as required.

  • Identify appropriate supplies in local market.

  • Provides tenant services i.e. explains the Sidra/Qatar Foundation housing guidelines, policies and procedures for candidates, employees and consultants.

  • Assists the Team Leader - Housing Services in the completion of all materials and furniture information relating to the lease agreements and inventory.

  • Coordinates laundry services of linens and towels when a unit has been vacated.

  • Maintains database of items in the storeroom.

  • Maintains inventory control and evaluates the condition of any soft pack items and furniture provided.

  • Collaborates with the Sidra Housing Services Team to replace or refurbish furniture.

  • Coordinates with Procurement Department and the Finance Department for the replacement of all soft pack items and/or furniture.

  • Coordinates with Rewards for the final settlement of employees as per the housing agreement.

  • Performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to housing searches and the establishment of relocated Sidra employees in Doha.

  • Adheres to the confidentiality agreement with regards to all Sidra’s employee’s information related to both their living conditions and their personnel status.

  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.



QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIAL

  • 8+ years of combined experience working in Housing Services including 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of the local community and road geography of Doha city.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment.

  • Demonstrated organizational and negotiating skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.

  • Strong interpersonal communications and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

PREFERRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.

  • 8+ years of combined experience working in Housing Services including 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
    Spoken knowledge of Arabic language would be an added advantage.
