DEPARTMENT/BRANCH PROFILE:

The Human Resources Division is made up of a number of complementary departments and strives to be recognized for its operational excellence and as a strategic business partner in the achievement of Sidra’s vision and mission and within its stated values.  As part of this the Talent Acquisition Division focuses on finding and acquiring the right person with the right competencies and attributes for the right job at the right time.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Officer - Housing Services assist the Team Leader to acquire safe, appropriate and cost-effective housing for Sidra staff.  She/he acts as the prime liaison with Qatar Foundation Housing Department.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Provides tenant services i.e. explains the Sidra housing guidelines, policies and procedures to candidates, employees and consultants

  • Performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to housing searches and the establishment of relocated Sidra employees in Doha

  • Maintains purchase inventories for Sidra housing

  • Supervises the work of ancillary services

  • Maintains stock of transitional and longer-term housing; records allocation data and tracks detailed information in relation to housing and utilities (i.e. electricity and water) by maintaining relevant files and records

  • Arranges for cleaning and maintenance works for all housing units.

  • Provides the new employees with the necessary documents and accommodation keys.

  • Investigates and attempts to resolve complaints and employee problems

  • Inspects the housing units, determines changes/ improvements required, and arranges for cleaning & maintenance work for all units before the enrollment/ showing to the new hires.

  • Maintains database items of the storeroom.

  • Evaluates the condition of any soft pack items and furniture provided.

  • Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks such as preparing agendas and minutes of meetings held with housing landlords/property consultants and other documents as required ensuring that confidentiality is maintained in all transactions

  • Works with the HR Team to anticipate the need for Sidra accommodation programs

  • Sources new accommodation for current and new staff as per Sidra policy

  • Ensures that confidentiality is maintained at all times

  • Arranges Welcome packs for new arrivals which include perishable goods.

  • Adheres to and promotes Sidra’s Values

  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

 

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.



QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • 8+ years of combined experience working in Housing Services including 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
    Current Qatari driving license

  • Knowledge of the local community and road geography of Doha city

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment

  • Demonstrated organizational and negotiating skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Strong interpersonal communications and customer service skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

PREFERRED:

  • Arabic language
