Once fully operational by mid-2018, Sidra Medicine will handle 275,000 outpatient appointments, 11,000 procedures, 100,000 emergency attendances and deliver over 9,000 babies per year, adding capacity to a rapidly growing population and delivering world-class specialist care.

The hospital will include 10 operating theatres, 400 beds, 100 percent single rooms with a private bathroom, a birthing center and an emergency department.

JOB SUMMARY: The key purpose of this role is to support the Executive Chair and Executive Director, Operations of the  respective CMG  in all activities  related to the activation of clinical services across the CMG, ensuring that all teams are supported in the successful delivery of their respective plans and coordination of activities that activate the supporting infrastructures required.
        • Works in collaboration with members of the Clinical Management Groups (CMG) to ensure the development of their respective activation plans and ensure plans are in place to move in operationally, intellectually, procedurally, and psychologically for each clinical area/service

        • Works with members of the Clinical Management Groups to support the implementation of their respective activation plans coordinating across the various multidisciplinary teams.

        • Identifies overarching clinical work programs/interdependencies and coordinates the development and implementation of their activation.

        • Supports as required the clinical recruitment workstreams across the organization to ensure alignment with activation of clinical services.

        • Leads the coordination of work to ensure facilities across all clinical areas are fit for pupose and will support delivery of safe and efficient patient and family care.

        • Works in partnership with technical teams to provide clinical input to decision making.

        • Facilitates collaborative partnerships between technical and clinical teams to ensure alignment of activation plans.

        • Works in partnership with the SPMO team to identify and assess risk associated with the overall activation of clinical services and develop mitigation plans to address.

        • Deputise for COO, as delegated.

        • Supports the National Development Program for Qatarization, working with members of the wider Support Services team to enable them to achieve their individual learning goals.

        • Provides reports on matters relating to the Office of the COO as required.

        • Serves as a focal point for day-to-day issues related to clinical activation planning.

        • Seeks guidance and approvals from the COO, Programme Board and Clinical Management Groups on issues with broad monetary, operational, or policy impact.

        • Develops and analyzes budgetary impact of activation plans as required.

        • Informs the COO, Programme Board and other key stakeholders of the progress of the activation and schedule.

        • Serves as a professional and role model for staff and is an advocate for patients and their families, demonstrating behaviors consistent with the organizational/education competency framework, Sidra values, policies, procedures and guidelines.

        • Supports the retention of all staff by creating a healthy work environment that facilitates teamwork, and treats colleagues, patients/families and visitors with dignity and respect at all times.  Ensures relevant information is communicated to all staff effectively and efficiently.

        In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.


Education            •Master’s Degree in a relevant field.

                             •Evidence of further education related to project management.

Experience         10+ years’ experience working in clinical and managerial roles with acute hospital settings. Experience of working clinically within Women’s and /or Children’s settings.

Certification and Licensure          Registered Healthcare Practitioner from country of origin
