JOB SUMMARY:

The Executive Director - Outpatient Clinic provides high level leadership, strategic direction and advocacy in the management of Outpatient Patient Access, Allied Health and Pharmacy services at Sidra Medical and Research Center.  The Executive Director - Outpatient Clinic develops the strategy and plan for Outpatient Operations, along with Allied Health and Pharmacy services to achieve the vision for Sidra, including outcomes and workforce issues at a strategic and tactical level. The Executive Director - Outpatient Clinic acts as the advocate for provisioning in the budgeting process, to secure resources and other desired outcomes.

The Executive Director - Outpatient Clinic  is also responsible for ensuring that all recommendations, decisions, directions and actions made and associated with this role are carried out in accordance with and support the guiding principles of Sidra Medical and Research Center.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Contributes to strategic level management processes, applying high level clinical knowledge to challenge existing protocols and advocating authoritatively for Outpatient Operations, Allied Health and Pharmacy
  • Provides expert and strategic advice and leadership to implement service initiatives
  • Provides leadership and robust strategies for the development of the Outpatient Patient Access/Operations, Allied Health and Pharmacy workforce, including leading initiatives
  • Operationally leads and manages large scale complex problems to resolution, including all associated risks, issues and related implications, Financial and HR accountability
  • Leads the development of new initiatives across disciplines, services, functions and teams,  including: sourcing of opportunities, developing implementation plans, building capability for delivery and evaluating outcomes
  • Utilizes and ensures compliance with contemporary human resource management practice
  • Demonstrates a willingness to be flexible, versatile and/or tolerant in a changing work environment, while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency
  • Acts as a role model in ethical behavior and business practices and ensures that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent Clinical Qualification 
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Senior Executive within a Healthcare setting
  • Experience of successful change management
  • Experience of successful handling of large budgets
  • Experience managing operational aspects of an outpatient clinic
  • Ability to successfully lead large teams
  • Ability to develop and implement complex strategies and operate in a challenging environment
  • Ability to cope with rapid and sustained change, competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ability to assess, analyze, synthesize and act upon complex performance data and financial
