Sidra works closely with Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and Hamad Medical Corporation across  all three activities to raise the standard of health and health care throughout the State of Qatar.

DEPARTMENT/BRANCH PROFILE:

The Joint Office of Affiliation acts as a point of contact for queries and interactions between Sidra and other Qatar healthcare organizations.  It is specifically responsible for the facilitation of communications, activities and work programs between HMC and Sidra to facilitate the transition and integration of Women and Children’s Clinical Services, clinical staff and patients from HMC to Sidra.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Specialist – Joint Affiliation Office interacts with Sidra staff and healthcare providers in external organizations to deliver key Affiliation Office strategies and services. The role actively engages HMC and Sidra care providers to facilitate the integration and transfer of women’s and children’s services between organizations by actioning HMC interactions/requests for information and managing transition plan activities. The role is responsible for reporting the status of collaborative activities and assignments to facilitate collaborations.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Works alongside the Director to ensure the effective daily operations of all services within the affiliation
  • Develops working relationships with clinicians and tailors clinical interactions to ensure collaborative initiatives are aligned to joint strategies and services between Sidra and HMC
  • Monitors progress of collaborative workgroup programs and is responsible for collaboratively actioning JAO workgroup deliverables
  • Independently develops working relationships and tailors interactions to ensure collaborative initiatives are aligned to joint strategies and services between Sidra and HMC
  • Reports collaborations and activity progress to appropriate stakeholders
  • Independently organizes JAO workgroup activity to facilitate transition activities for services, staff and patients between Sidra and HMC
  • Ensures transition plans for patients and clinical staff are adhered to, monitored and reported
  • Develops reports for the Joint Partnership committee regarding the status of collaborative work programs, risks and mitigation action
  • Works with leaders to establish processes to integrate appropriate clinical and management teams to plan transition of Clinical Programs
  • Resolves problems as they arise and ensures that staff and external partners are updated in a timely fashion
  • Streamlines communications by team members by communicating and streamlining to the service line team with the preparation of reports related to activities in liaison with the relevant subject matter expert
  • Identifies and actions opportunities for improvement to processes within the department
  • Promotes and assists in facilitating the concept of One Program, Multiple Institutions through influencing clinical  stakeholders and managing projects to build collaboration and trust
  • Coordinates programs of training of physicians and nurses and allied health with educators to standardize patient care
  • Ensures the establishment and agreement of processes to ensure qualified consultants across both locations with Medical staff offices and HR departments
  • Adheres to Sidra’s standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies

In view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra during this pre-operational phase, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned and reporting relationships may vary.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare related field, Business Administration or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in a Clinical healthcare field including 3 + years in a progressive administrative leadership role 
  • Demonstrated business analytics skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present proposals at a senior management level
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff within Sidra and in other Qatar healthcare institutions
  • Knowledge of clinical care and understanding of need for clinical prioritization
  • Ability to gather data and compile information using relevant technology, prepare and provide regular status reports
  • Skilled in meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

PREFERRED:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Management (Hospital Administration preferred)
  • 7+ years Clinical and Administrative leadership experience in a large healthcare operating environment
  • CIPD Certification
  • Middle Eastern working Experience
